Terms & Conditions for Swim Hapus Children’s and Parent & Baby lessons.

Payment for courses

Full payment must be received prior to the commencement of each course.

Refunds

Please note: Lessons are non-refundable in relation to any holidays or sickness as pool hire costs still need to be met.

Medical conditions

You will be asked as part of the Terms & Conditions to provide details of any existing medical conditions for either yourself, another carer who may swim in lessons or the baby/child booked onto lessons. You agree to inform Swim Hapus of any changes, including pregnancy, as soon as you are aware of them.  All information will be kept strictly confidential.

Illness

Never bring your child swimming if they have any illness such as ear infection, diarrhoea, chicken pox, impetigo, conjunctivitis or a bad cold.  Please wait until your doctor has given the all clear before returning to swimming lessons.

If you or your child are showing any COVID 19 symptoms please do not bring your child swimming and follow Gov guidelines or visit the NHS COVID 19 app.

In the instance of sickness and diarrhoea your child must have been clear of all symptoms for at least 48 hours before attending a lesson.

Nappies and changing babies and toddlers

All babies/toddlers, under 3 years regardless of whether they are potty trained, must wear a double nappy system.  Either reusable cotton nappy or disposable paper swim nappy and a Happy Nappy or Neo Nappy on top.

For toddlers over 3 years it is recommended to wear Happy Nappy Jammers only (no disposable nappy required) These are available up to size age 8 +.

The above is required in order to prevent any accidents in the pool and is part of the pool hire agreement.

Swim Hapus reserves the right to refuse entry to any child who is not suitably attired.

Always change your baby on the floor using a suitable changing mat or on a changing table.  Do not use any raised areas such as benches, trolleys or tables.  This is to prevent babies from rolling onto the floor from high surfaces.

Please place all used nappies in the nappy disposal bins provided in the changing area.

Pool Closures

In the instance that a pool cannot be used in the short term, Swim Hapus will endeavour, where possible, to reschedule your swimming lesson.    In the event of Swim Hapus cancelling a lesson and then being unable to reschedule; a refund for the swimming lesson will be made.

If a pool is not available on a longer-term basis (in excess of 3 weeks), on public health or other grounds outside of Swim Hapus’ control and it is not possible to reschedule the classes, a refund for any scheduled lessons will be made.

Should a lesson already be in progress or about to start and the pool have to be cleared for any reason then Swim Hapus are under no obligation to refund the swimming lesson or part thereof.
